Aymeric BAES and sustainable agriculture

Viewed 74 times

In the latest episode of "La Motte de Terre", Aymeric BAES (Agriculture, , Beauvais), was honored for his efforts to promote sustainable agriculture. In addition to his traditional crop and livestock farming activities, this former student has set up an innovative initiative on his farm, focusing on the production of renewable energy from food waste.

He decided to take the step towards more environmentally-friendly farming by integrating methanization into his agricultural practices. Thanks to this technology, he can transform his farm's organic waste into clean energy, helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while promoting his farm's energy autonomy.

Another feature of this approach is the use of digestate, a by-product of methanization, as an organic fertilizer. Rather than using chemical fertilizers, which are often harmful to the environment, Aymeric opts for this ecological alternative, promoting soil health and the sustainability of his crops.

The methanizer installed on Aymeric's farm provides enough energy to power between 3,000 and 3,500 homes in the surrounding area, contributing to the transition to a greener, more sustainable economy.
