Coline Deveautour, guest of La Terre au Carré

On Thursday August 28, Coline Deveautour, Professor of Soil Ecology and Microbiology at UniLaSalle Rouen, was a guest on France Inter's La Terre au Carré program.Florian Kirchner, "Species" program manager with the French Committee of the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature), to talk about a subject as fascinating as it is urgent: fungi and the threats facing these organisms, which are indispensable to our ecosystems.

A lecturer and researcher in ecology and microbiology at UniLaSalle Rouen, Coline was able to explain the difficulty of defining fungi from a scientific point of view, the key role they play in soil health, biodiversity and even the fight against climate change, before addressing the lack of population monitoring and the main threats affecting them.
