Following the success of last year's event, Humanit'aime, the UniLaSalle Rennes student association, in partnership with Rennes Métropole, have reiterated their action by organizing anephemeral ressourcerie on the Ker Lann campus, to coincide with the start of the 2025 academic year.
Set up in front of the university restaurant on the Ker Lann campus, the event attracted a large number of students. School supplies, crockery, furniture and even books found takers: enough to equip yourself for the start of the new school year and to furnish your home at free prices, while reducing waste.
Delighted students
"There are binders, which are super useful," says one participant.
"I've been looking for reusable shopping bags - it's great! "adds another student.
A long-term project
This initiative illustrates the students' commitment to solidarity and ecology, and confirms the relevance of the partnership with Rennes Métropole to encourage reuse.
Funds raised from the free sale will be redistributed to the student associations involved, enabling them to support other student projects focusing on solidarity and sustainable development.
More than a recycling center, a civic gesture
Beyond reuse, the ressourcerie éphémère raises students' awareness of the importance of giving objects a second life and reducing their ecological footprint. It also encourages students to help each other, at a time when the cost of student accommodation remains a major concern. This initiative is a concrete expression of the values of solidarity and environmental responsibility espoused by UniLaSalle Rennes and its partners.
Towards a sustainable initiative?
Given the enthusiasm generated by the first two editions, the idea of a regular recycling center on campus is gaining ground. It would be a concrete solution to combat waste, promote the circular economy and support students in their daily lives.
See you in December!
