Roland Lehoucq : "Dune perfectly illustrates an essential idea: the sciences are not compartmentalized".

On March 25, UniLaSalle had the privilege of welcoming Roland Lehoucq, astrophysicist at the Commissariat à l'énergie atomique de Saclay, as part of the "Authors speak to us" series of meetings, dedicated to exchanges between Lasallian students and writers. During the event, students were able to discuss with the astrophysicist and science popularizer the collective work Dune: scientific exploration of a planet-universe, to which he contributed.

The astrophysicist, a specialist in theoretical physics and cosmology, is known for his work in popularizing science, notably by linking science to science fiction. He analyzes the scientific concepts behind works of fiction, exploring their plausibility. The author of numerous books and a passionate lecturer, he helps to make science accessible to the general public.
