Night sailing: Amélie's book
Amélie ROULLIER (Alimentation & Santé, 2009, Beauvais) was recently a guest on RCF Radio's podcast"Dialogue sur la mort" hosted by Christian de Cacqueray. This was an opportunity for her to present her first book, Navigation de nuit, an intimate account of bereavement.
In this book, Amélie uses a marine metaphor to share her personal journey following the loss of her youngest brother. She recounts the lonely journey of grief, even in the midst of a large sibling, and the gradual rebuilding that follows.
Now a professional coach and bereavement counsellor, Amélie has turned this intimate ordeal into a vocation.
Through her book and her commitment, she hopes to lift the taboo that still surrounds the loss of a sibling, and offer support to those going through this pain or accompanying a suffering loved one.
