Flora at the end of the effort in the Moroccan desert

Viewed 742 times

Flore VECTEN (Alimentation & Santé, 2015, Beauvais) has just returned from an extraordinary adventure: with her sister, they completed the 250 km Marathon des Sables, a legendary race in southern Morocco, in self-sufficient food supplies, under particularly trying weather conditions this year.

Out of more than 1,000 participants, they finished 237th and 238th, well beyond their expectations! Between the hot weather, the demanding new courses and the high overall level, the challenge was considerable. But they held on, buoyed by an iron will, a lot of emotion, and the support of their loved ones.

"Our greatest challenge as sisters", writes Flore, who has powerful memories of this race, with its breathtaking landscapes, memorable encounters and rediscovery of the incredible capacities of the human body.

A huge bravo to them both!
