Elouan LANNUZEL ( Environment, 2023, Rennes) led a Climate Change Adaptation Workshop (AdACC) for the first time at the Climate Academy, alongside members of Climatosportifs.
Created by Juliette Nouel and Marguerite Deperrois, these workshops aim to equip participants to collectively make the best choices in the face of the impacts of climate change. They are based on a method structured around four key stages:
- Introduction: setting the context to distinguish between adaptation and mitigation, two complementary approaches in the fight against climate change.
- Discovering the method : exploration of climate risk components (hazards, vulnerabilities, issues), adaptation levers, and criteria for assessing proposed measures (effectiveness, co-benefits, risk of maladaptation). This stage also emphasizes the need to aim for in-depth transformations rather than marginal adjustments.
- Experimentation: collective work on a concrete issue (mobility, agriculture, health, etc.). Participants come up with ideas for adaptation measures and begin building a transformational trajectory, adapted to the chosen context.
- Conclusion and transition to action: synthesis of what has been learned, extension to other issues, and questioning about the next steps in one's own organization or territory.
Well done to Elouan for this first animation.
