Benoît on RTL: Helium extraction in Burgundy.

Benoît HAUVILLE (Geology, 2007, Beauvais), co-founder of 45-8 ENERGY, was recently invited by RTL to talk about advances in helium extraction in Burgundy. He stressed the importance of this strategic resource for applications such as medical equipment cooling and space launchers.

Helium is extracted locally before being stored at the pilot unit on the Fonts-Bouillants site , awaiting delivery to customers.

At the same time, 45-8 ENERGY and Storengy have obtained two Exclusive Research Permits (PER) for natural hydrogen at :

• "Grand Rieu" (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) and
• "Marensin" (Landes).

These projects are part of a dynamic aimed at developing a natural hydrogen industry in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, thus actively contributing to the development of the region's economic activity while working towards its energy transition.
