Internationalization at UniLaSalle! – emPLANT, season 2 : Ready for launch !

UniLaSalle will open its doors next August for the second promotion of the Erasmus Mundus Master Program in Plant Breeding (emPLANT) to 34 new students from around the world.
This year, 346 international students submitted their applications for the course, compared to 317 last year. In total, no less than 64 different nationalities were represented !
287 candidates were pre-selected by the 5 emPLANT Universities consortium:

• UniLaSalle (project coordinator)
• Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (Sweden)
• Ege University (Turkey)
• Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain)
• University of Helsinki (Finland)

In the end of the selection process, 34 students were admitted. 24 of them will join UniLaSalle campus for their first year of, while the other ten will be hosted by the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. They will spend their second year to one of the other three partner universities of the emPLANT program.

To help them financially, 28 emPLANT students will benefit from an Erasmus Mundus scholarship. That will notably cover all their tution fees.
It is also a good news for the internationalization of our University ! Indeed, this year 20 nationalities from 5 continents will be represented.

 L’internationalisation à UniLaSalle !

UniLaSalle ouvrira ses portes en août prochain pour le master « Erasmus Mundus Master Programme in Plant Breeding » à 34 nouveaux étudiants venus de par le monde.
Cette année, 346 étudiants internationaux ont soumis leurs candidatures pour la formation, contre 317 l’année dernière. Au total, pas moins de 64 nationalités différentes représentées !
287 d’entre elles ont été sélectionnées par cinq universités du emPlant consortium :
•    UniLaSalle (coordinateur du projet)
•    Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (Suède)
•    Ege University (Turquie)
•    Universitat Politècnica de València (Espagne)
•    University of Helsinki (Finlande)

Au final, 34 étudiants ont été choisis. 24 d’entre eux viendront sur le campus de Beauvais pour leur première année. Les dix autres seront accueillis par la Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences pour la première année, puis transférés vers un des trois autres partenaires pour la seconde année.
Pour les aider financièrement, 28 d’entre eux bénéficieront d’une bourse Erasmus Mundus.
Une bonne nouvelle pour l’internationalisation de l’école puisque la promotion représentera 20 nationalités !
