From prom to partners: how Praxitherm was born out of a shared journey at UniLaSalle

Viewed 591 times

A few years after graduating from UniLaSalle and gaining experience in a number of companies, Praxitherm founders Yannis CHERCHALI (Energy Engineering & Digital Systems, 2022, Amiens) and Billal BELHOCINE (Energy Engineering & Digital Systems, 2020, Amiens) decided to set up their own design office in Montpellier.

Specializing in regulatory thermal engineering, HVAC and energy performance, the company was born out of a single ambition: to offer clear, reliable and usable studies, with a focus on efficiency for project owners, general contractors, developers, architects and local authorities.

The name "Praxitherm" reflects their state of mind:
Praxi, for praxis, the ancient Greek word for concrete action,
Therm, for their core expertise: thermal engineering.
Application-oriented engineering with real impact.

Today, they collaborate with Patience KWIZERA (Energy Engineering & Digital Systems, 2020, Amiens), a former classmate who has also gone freelance in thermal and HVAC engineering. This continuity underlines the importance of the ties forged at UniLaSalle, both on a human and professional level.

Convinced that the future of the building industry lies in collaborative approaches, the alumni are keen to continue working with other alumni of the school, on a co-contracting or sub-contracting basis, or on joint projects. They recognize in this network a culture of work well done, a solid technical base and an open-mindedness perfectly in tune with their own vision.

"UniLaSalle isn't just an engineering school. It's where it all began: with convictions, rigor and lasting encounters," explains Yannis.

Today, Praxitherm pursues its development with the same high standards: to offer useful, relevant and concrete studies, and to surround itself with people it can trust.

If any UniLaSalle alumni would like to cross paths again, don't hesitate to contact them!
